How I Choose To Destroy It

Not a big deal, just bearing my soul.

What I Am Doing Here

First, the easy answer to that question:

Basically, I want a place where I can post some of the writing I’m working on, or talk about the writing I’m working on. Yes, I know I just ended a sentence with a preposition. Please don’t let that keep you from reading more.

I don’t know how I feel about this blog thing, and I don’t know how I feel about posting my work online, so I’m going to kind of feel it out and see how it goes.

This is all a giant experiment. Like life, right?

I’m hoping people actually read this, and respond. With kindness, and honesty. It’s been a long time since I shared my work, and even longer since I did so with any sort of discipline involved (read: writing workshops). We’ll see how it goes.

Second, on a grander scale:

Well, that’s the question, isn’t it?

I can’t listen to this song enough. Jenny knows, man.

We all agree it’s too big to keep up with, that we’re surrounded by life, that we’ll never understand it, so we center it all by swigging Scotch from the bottle and when it’s empty I run out of the car and buy another one, period.
